Get Creative with Whiteboard Gridding Tape
Gridding tape has a variety of uses, and it’s excellent to use on whiteboards at work or in the home. Not only is it easy to peel and cut, it is removable and leaves no sticky residue behind when it’s gone. These thin tapes come in a range of colours, perfect for decoration, visual presentations, games, or just to make a whiteboard look a little more fun.
There are many ways to utilise this wonderful piece of equipment, and we’ve listed some of the more creative uses for whiteboard gridding tape below.
1. Play games on your whiteboard
Tic-tac-toe, or naughts and crosses as we like to call it, is a popular game from childhood all the way through to adulthood. Everyone knows how to play it, and it has many variations. You could easily add a 3x3 square grid to your whiteboard to pay a round and remove it when you’re done (or leave it there forever!). Gridding tape allows the grid of the game to be many different colours (unlike the standard black that the game is typically played with), which adds an element of fun and creativity to it. Play a game with your children at home, or keep your colleagues entertained at work. A tic-tac-toe board would even look great in a public space! Just remember to provide whiteboard pens.
2. Create visuals for a presentation
Presentations on large whiteboards could hugely benefit from whiteboard gridding tape. Using any colour of this wonderful, removable tape, you can create graphs, flow charts, diagrams, and even graphics if you’re creative enough. Whiteboard gridding tape provides a solid outline that you can use to make your visual creations bolder when you’re presenting something in a meeting; whether your presentation is to your colleagues or your superiors.
3. Decorating your whiteboard planner
A whiteboard planner is perfect for a home office or studio space. You can use a whiteboard planner like a standard paper planner for your week, or your goals for the month or year. It’s the perfect chance to challenge your creativity and display all of the resolutions that you committed to at the beginning of the year.
4. Entertain your children
Because whiteboard gridding tape is adhesive but doesn’t leave any residue on a white board, it’s great for your children to get creative with. They could spruce up their own reward and chore charts or play games with the tape on the board. Gridding tape is inexpensive and has plenty of uses in the world of arts and crafts. You don’t have to have a whiteboard to use it – it can be used on any surface like cardboard or paper, too. Avoid using it on painted surfaces, it is still tape, after all.
5. Message board
Finally, how about using the whiteboard gridding tape to create some brightly coloured messages on your office’s whiteboard, rather than sending out an email? You can use the tape to title a list of announcements, or even use it to section off parts of the whiteboard for notices.
